Why do you think that Guy Montag is unaware that firefighters used to put out fires instead of starting them/ burning books?

Make a prediction

The opening scene in Fahrenheit 451 imagines a world where a firefighter burns books. Based on your understanding of dystopias, why might a firefighter burn books?

When has your speech been restricted
